Video prod.watching the latest films

I was really courious what the others made for this wine-topic, and I have to say that although I didn't really like them, I think all in all it was an okay lesson. I didn't like the soundtrack in our film, but at the end we couldn't change it, and we only realized that it's a bit too much with the sound when we were ready with all the editing, and then suddenly it just wasn't working out that good with the sound+film . I liked Ralph + Évi +Adél+Anna's version as well, it was minimalistic, but I think it was really funny. The other's films didn't catch me so much, I didn't like them that much, and I don't want to talk about it now as I don't want to hurt the other's feelings.

lesson with the catalogues

the other lesson , when we dealt with catalogues:I found it interesting as well , because we need to know what we sould put into it, and how it should look, etc, so that part was really useful, however I think we were dealing with it for a bit too long, as at the end of the class I felt like that we were just discussing the same things over and over again...I am really looking forvard to visit the galleries , etc, as I know that we'll hear very useful things, and Im happy that Rita is giving us really practical advices about the whole topic. It's so much better than to just learn about things in theory!

My concept for an exhibition

As Im very much interested in shoes, and I saw not so long ago on the Spektrum or on the National Geographic a documentation about shoes , there was a big Shoe-museum in Toronto, and I tought that I could invite an exhibition from them here.
In the museum they have more than 12500 shoes from every kind of eras and times. They are also dealing with conservig and restoring the shoes so they have some real specialities !
I tought that I could put up an exhibition in the Fine Arts museum, where there would be a thematic exhib. with shoes from diff. kind of historical times . Then there would be an other room where diff. modern designs would be presented -eg.: shoes from grass, etc. - . There could be an exhbibition in an other room where the museum could collaborate and ask some hungarian shoe-makers to make something special for a topic, and we could exhibit those. There could be a rooom where people could try on some shoes from historical times ( of course not real-ones, but newly made ones ) I think it it would entertain the audience if it would be interactive. PLus during the exhibition there could be tours were historians or other people could involve a bit the history with the shoes and make an interesting tour for the audience.

Visiting the flat-galleries

As I had to leave after the second gallery I will only comment on the Molnár Ani and the Inda galleries. I liked the Molnár Ani better, maybe because the atmoshphere was nicer there, or the girl who led us around was nicer than in the Inda, but I just found that more 'homie'. The flat was smaller but it was bright and nice, and the art pieces were really cool ,especially those magnet-ones! The Inda gallery was too dark for me, I don't know why they didn't open the windows or so...On the other hand they have a much bigger space for exhibiting the pictures so it should be better as a gallery, but somehow I still didn't like it so much...I didn't even like the artworks neither . The owner seemed really busy and she was only doing a favour to show us around, that wasn't sympathethic for me.
Both galleries had the problem that there weren't any plackards or tableaous on the the street indicating the directions...I think it's a big problem because If Rita wouldn't have been there with us, I wouldn't have been able to find the galleries :)
All in all the trip was very interesting as I have never been in a flat-gallery before, I couldn't even imagine what it is....Now at least I have a clue !:)

cutting the chicken movie with elinor

well yes, basically we had to see all the diff. videos which we had, then we choose the best ones which could be in the film. Afterwards we made diff. folders like : beggining, end, middle , etc...and put the diff. video-files into the folders. Then we started cutting and of course with the diff. folders it was easier. Then the comp. broke down, and we had to start it all over again. So elinor went to an other computer, she cut the second part of the video and I cut the first part of it and then we put it together.... It took us 4-5hours to cut the video at the beggining before the comp. broke down and it took an other 2 hours to cut when we split up after restarting the computer. It was really tireing!

2 times when I was missing

sorry I just wanted to say that I was basically missing two lessons, one because of my cheek - when it broke and I had to go to the hospital, and once when we were in Stockholm with Ralph. - By the way Stockholm is a really really cool city! :)

editing with bob

Well the last film which we made about the wine-thing : we went over to bob's place and edited with him. Some of us were doing the Photoshop things which we had to do- to cut out some parts, so that we can edit it together with a technic which looks like as the parts were falling apart in the movie. It's really cool and actually easy to make - if you know how to handle photoshop. The others were discussing and helping with the cutting , dealing with the order of the scenes, and how long they should last, etc. We finished the cutting during a weekend, it took basically 2 whole days...

Visiting the Mi Vida

It was one of the best exhibitions which I saw so far, and interestingly not because the pieces were sooo good -because they weren't- but because the whole exhib. itself was cool. There were only a few pieces which I really liked e.g: the blood-giving staion, and the long photos of a beach was my favourite ! - but the whole idea was really good. Although I think the Undertitel : from heaven to hell - or smg like that - was not good in my opinion, I didn't notice that the works were at all connected to his title, so that was definitely wrong about the exhib. Ah yes and I didn't like the Abramovich videoinstallation neither. Just because she made such outrageous videos I wouldn't consider them Art pieces . Not at all!

making the new music -video

Filming with the others made the whole thing much much easier. After discussing and deciding the story ( which was interesting because I could really learn this time that even if I don't agree with the idea , I have to make it as the other's "vote" for it , and 3 against 2 decided which topic we are going to choose. ) . After it we scheduled the filming, I was basically responsible for all the costumes, and other things which we used during the film . The others got diff. roles. Then when we started shooting I basically after a while became the person who was responsible for the lightning with this big , round silver thing which we borrowed from Évi. I really liked doing the lightning ! Although I felt sorry for Pavel - our main actor- because I always had to put the light into his face ! poor him, but C'est la vie...it's hard to be an actor...:)
The filming was cool , we didnt have discussions only in 1-2 cases but we could solve the problems easy, so I think so far it was one of the easiest filming...Everybody was helpful and I think we could really work together! we were : Damla, Elinor, Natela, Bob and Me.
